Administrative Assistant
PART TIME, CONTRACT ROLE
Approximately 20 Hours Per Week | Flexible Schedule
The Marginal Way Preservation Fund (MWPF) is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our organization. This flexible, contractor role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about nonprofit work and eager to contribute to the preservation of one of Maine’s most iconic coastal landmarks.
You’ll work closely with our Executive Director and team to ensure smooth operations, engaging donor communications, and successful community events and initiatives.

Assist with daily administrative tasks and reporting
Manage donor communications and follow-up efforts
Serve as a liaison for vendor communications and scheduling, including coordination of logistics for the Marginal Way commemorative plaque program.
Help coordinate meetings, events, and special projects

Assist Executive Director with donor follow-up as requested
Support outreach to businesses, sponsors, and key donors
Identify local and state grant opportunities
Assist in building and maintaining donor and sponsor relationships
Track and report on fundraising initiatives and milestones

Support the execution of a robust social media and marketing strategy
Help update the website and coordinate email communications
Assist in content development for digital platforms (videos, webinars, social posts)
Maintain contact databases and build engagement lists
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Strong organizational and communication skills
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
● Proactive, self-directed, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
● Familiarity with nonprofits, fundraising, or donor relations preferred
● Proficiency in CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and social media tools
● Bachelor’s degree preferred
PREFFERED ATTRIBUTES:
● Local to Ogunquit or surrounding areas
● A passion for preservation and a shared commitment to the MWPF mission
● Experience managing budgets and coordinating multiple stakeholders
● Strong copywriting and digital communication skills
