The Wound in the Water: A Benefit Concert

The Portsmouth Pro Musica choral group, together with the Marginal Way Preservation Fund, will hold a joint benefit concert on Friday, May 6th at 7:30 pm at the First Parish Church in York, Maine in support of both their non-profit organizations.

The concert will feature “The Wound in the Water” by modern Norwegian composer Kim Andre Arnesen, with a string orchestra.

The libretto beautifully captures the theme of Mammon, meaning greed or wealth, and the resulting harm that can be done to our planet and seas. The MWPF, through charitable donations, works to ensure that the treasured Marginal Way remains accessible for all to enjoy, and looks forward to partnering with PPM to share the message of the importance of preserving and protecting our environment.
